“CONVERGE” – THE PANEL DISCUSSION:
Genesis 2008 would be graced by the presence of Mr. Sandipan Chakravortty (Chairman, Eastern Region, Confederation of Indian Industries) as the Chief guest for the occasion.

“Converge”, as the name suggests would be an occasion where ideas meet, amalgamate and redefine the genre of Organizational Flexibility. The eminent panel of speakers this time will include

"Concur" is the spread of management games in the platter of Genesis 2008. Innovation and Creativity is what we the students of MHRM have given utmost importance while designing the games.

1. Each team will have two members.
2. One preliminary round followed by three final rounds.
3. The decision of the judges shall be deemed as final.
4. Interested teams will have to register online. Please vsit the registration page and download the registration form. the filled in forms should be mailed back at genesis2008.mhrm@gmail.com
5. The subject of the mail should be tyqoons_Institute name_Team name.
6. The last date for registration is 5th december 2008.

Genesis 2008, brings you “CUT, COPY, PASTE!!!” the collage competition with a difference. So what are you waiting for?? Set your grey cells ideating.

Rules and Guidelines

1. Magazines and other required articled for the event will be provided at the venue.
2. Each team will have three members.

Presentations are the bread and butter of any student of management. How about breaking the shackles of monotonous presentation and slides? How about arbitrary interpretation of those mundane graphs and charts ??

Genesis 2008 gives you a platform to bend the rules for a change!! Connect the disconnected slides the way you want to and present all of it.. ON THE SPOT !!

3. This is a Single participation event.

ON THE ROCKS!!! – THE IMPROMPTU ACT

On the Rocks!!

Imagine if you were to wake up some day to find yourself in a similar situation! Your only solace unlike Samsa would be the fact that you see two of your friends alongside you sharing the same plight! What would you do? How would you save yourself? So you are not just a Samsa in your own right but a man positioned right on the peak of a mountain who cannot afford to take an inappropriate move. One missed step and might not be there anymore.

The management game On the Rocks gives you a famous quote or an oft-heard proverb and you are to imagine a unique situation based on it.

Come and enroll for the game that tests your presence of mind! We often do not question our own abilities. This is your chance to verify whether you can take the challenge! Come, bail yourself out!

Rules & Guidelines:

1. Teams shall have three members each.
2. Teams will be given 5 minutes to conceptualize on the topic given on spot.
3. Teams will then enact a 3 minute act on stage.

ERUDITION – THE ONLINE PAPER PRESENTATION.

IISWBM invites entries for discussion as a paper presentation competition. So put on your thinking caps and ignite the genius within you!

Participants are requested to send in their entries in any one of the following themes:

1. Job Satisfaction
2. Employer Branding
3. Managing Diversity
4. HR as the Strategic Partner
5. Talent Management
6. Succession Planning

Prize Money Worth : Rs.3,500
First Prize: Rs.2000
Second Prize: Rs.1500

Rules & Guidelines

1. The paper should be .doc or pdf format with Font Times New Roman, with font size of 12.
2. The word limit of the document should not exceed 1500 words.
3. There should be an executive summary in not more than 500 words as a synopsis to the main paper.
4. Each team should comprise two members.
5. The name of the Institute and the team, with contact details of the team members should be mentioned in the first page of the document. The name of the Institute should not come anywhere in the paper except the main document.
6. Teams need to register online. The registration form should be duly filled up and mailed back at genesis2008.mhrm@gmail.com
7. The last date of submission of the papers is 5th December 2008.
8. The final document should be mailed at genesis2008.mhrm@gmail.com. The subject line of the mail should be erudition_Institute name_team name
9. The results will be declared on 8th December 2008.
10. The shortlist team will be informed via mail.
11. the shortlist team will be presenting the paper at Genesis on 11th December 2008.

CONFAB – THE ALUMNI MEET

Genesis 2008, through Confab provides an excellent opportunity for all its alumni to rekindle their old memories & acquaintances, share their experiences and celebrate the spirit of unity as the previous generation meets the present generation.

The event will be accompanied by cultural programs followed by dinner.
